The second Random Cup was again contested in Myrtle Beach, SC and produced a veteran Champion.

Gary Hefner, older brother of Random Cup Co-Founder Gino Hefner, ran away with the Cup in its second year and hoisted the Cup once again for the Maryland side.

Three times was not a charm for the 3rd Random Cup as the crowds in Myrtle Beach, SC became overwhelming and the final day was cut short.

To every Random Cupper’s dismay, Chris Flenner bagged his way to victory. All joking aside, Flenn-To-Win put in a gutsy performance in tough conditions to keep the Cup in Maryland.

Pinehurst, NC

The Random Cup found a new home at the absolute insistence of the Pinehurst Chamber of Commerce and executives from the Pinehurst Resort.

Local boy and Random Cup Co-Founder, Jeremy McDonald, weeded his way around his own mind-fuck and came through the victor to put Team Carolina on the board.

Another romp through the pines.

Random Cup Co-Founder, Gino Hefner, shed the cloud of Mr. Second Place in a breakthrough performance that was topped off by an Eagle on the final hole of the tournament.

2019

Pinehurst, NC

Truly a Random year that taught two rookies just how random the Random Cup can be. There was a 911 call, a medical WD on the final day, the unexpected return of a Random Cup veteran in the cart basement of Pinehurst and threats of 120 Commandos.

“Stovie” comes from behind to do it again!! There is now a 3-Time Champion of the Random Cup as Jon Stovall put on a 3rd round for the ages carding a 71 at Pinehurst #1 to take the Cup back to Maryland.

2020

Pinehurst, NC

The year of the COVID offered a much needed break from the bullshit and there’s no better way to do that than with the finest selection of golfing and gambling degenerates known to the Mid-Atlantic. A single rookie and a return to contention by a former champ made 2020 one for the record books.

The Cup will return to the Carolinas after a 4 year stay in Maryland as Jeremy McDonald captures his second Cup in the most hotly contested tournament in the history of the Cup. A scoring glitch necessitated a playoff hole as McDonald attempted to van de Velde himself in the final round before righting the ship and holding off hard charging former champ Gary Hefner through the final 18.

2021

Pinehurst, NC

Another glorious year in Pinehurst where the weatherman brought April temps to August in the south. No rookies to the Cup this year as the group is as solid as they come - jam packed with good golfers and even better degenerates.

For the first time in its illustrious history, The Random Cup has a BACK-TO-BACK Champion and a second 3-time winner as Jeremy McDonald retains the Cup off a Moving Day performance for the ages that included 5 birdies! As always, things got interesting during the final round as the wheels were shakier a Random Cupper at 9am after a night out amongst the commandos at O’Donnell’s Pub.

2022

PINEHURST, NC

Co-Founder Gino Hefner leaves no doubt about his place among the greatest Champions of all time.

The third multiple time winner emerged from the pack as Co-Founder Gino Hefner hoisted the hardware for a 2nd time since 2018. Finding his game early and carrying it through the final day, Gino put in a dominant performance to capture his second Random Cup. Both Oz and Los put pressure on him through the final two days but neither could catch the former driving range pro.

2023

PINEHURST, NC

And just like that, there’s a new member of both the Back-to-Back Champions and the 3x Champion’s Club! Co-Founder Gino Hefner brings it home again for the Maryland side!

With an incredibly steady performance, Gino Hefner led the field once again to lift his THIRD Random Cup and goes back-to-back. This year’s leaderboard was the tightest ever after Round One but, the former driving range pro’s performance would not be swayed. Former disgraced Random Cupper, Justin Patterson (DQ 2022), put on tons of pressure early into the Final Round, but there is nothing like experience when the pressure of the Cup is on the line and Gino coasted along the back 9 to an unquestioned victory.
